Alex is currently participating in the Pathway to Employment Program at Mercy Hospital Jefferson.  According to Caryn Wright, his supervisor- “Alex’s favorite part of the job is serving customers in the cafeteria.  He has served breakfast and lunch items and always with a smile!  He is well-known face at Mercy and always says hello to everyone. “

Alex enjoys cleaning the cafeteria (wiping down tables, stocking supplies), makes breakfast pizza, makes, and bags cookies, labels items, some food prep, and other various tasks in the kitchen/cafeteria.  He is a good listener and follows the rules of the program.  He also enjoys helping other people out. He eats pizza everyday for lunch. Alex said in 5 years, he sees himself working at the hospital with nurses.
