What drives our organization?

Service Coordination

We help residents of Jefferson County with a developmental disability identify their strengths and needs, and goals for the future.  We then create a plan together and link you to services and supports to accomplish your goals.

This is a community service provided at no cost for eligible individuals.

To be eligible for services from Developmental Disability Advocates Service Coordination, an individual must have a documented developmental disability, be age 3+ and live in Jefferson County.

Jennifer

This Month's Shining Star

Jennifer is a 50-year-old who just celebrated her birthday! Jennifer is known to make the people around her laugh. Jennifer is always telling jokes and making others happy. Jennifer is very outgoing and has never met a stranger. Jennifer makes friends with all those around her and her laugh is contagious. Jennifer loves music, singing, and making music with instruments. She is a huge fan of Kenny Rogers, Neil Diamond, and Michael Jackson. Jennifer loves going on trips to the zoo and has a great love for coffee. Jennifer loves doing group activities and does not miss an opportunity to socialize, especially the ice cream socials. Jennifer is a huge Cardinal baseball fan. Jennifer also loves playing sports in Special Olympics Track and Field and Special Olympic Bowling. Jennifer’s goal is to bring home some gold medals competing this year!
