What drives our organization?
Service Coordination
We help residents of Jefferson County with a developmental disability identify their strengths and needs, and goals for the future. We then create a plan together and link you to services and supports to accomplish your goals.
This is a community service provided at no cost for eligible individuals.
To be eligible for services from Developmental Disability Advocates Service Coordination, an individual must have a documented developmental disability, be age 3+ and live in Jefferson County.

Alex
This Month's Shining Star
Alex is currently participating in the Pathway to Employment Program at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. According to Caryn Wright, his supervisor-“Alex’s favorite part of the job is serving customers in the cafeteria. He has served breakfast and lunch items and always with a smile! He is well-known face at Mercy and always says hello to everyone. “
Alex enjoys cleaning the cafeteria (wiping down tables, stocking supplies), makes breakfast pizza, makes, and bags cookies, labels items, some food prep, and other various tasks in the kitchen/cafeteria. He is a good listener and follows the rules of the program. He also enjoys helping other people out. He eats pizza everyday for lunch. Alex said in 5 years, he sees himself working at the hospital with nurses.
