Welcome to DSP Appreciation
On behalf of Developmental Disability Advocates, we would like to welcome you to our virtual Direct Support Professional (DSP) Appreciation! This is a national event recognized by several disability organizations such as the National Association of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) (https://nadsp.org/), the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) (https://www.ancor.org), and Open Future Learning (https://www.openfuturelearning.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=login.home). These are all 3 terrific resources for DSPs any time of the year!
We have assembled some videos, and articles that will benefit and hopefully energize the DSPs in our county. They will “live” on our webpage indefinitely and we will add to them from time to time.
Now, more than ever, we want to thank you for the compassion, dedication, and selflessness you have shown to people with developmental disabilities throughout this 6 month pandemic. This has been an especially challenging time for all and you have gone the extra mile to ensure the health and safety of people you care for. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you do 365 days a year and for all the extra effort you may be putting in as we navigate through the months ahead.
